Mr. Akeem Adewuyi Adeagbo is the pioneer Bursar of the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji (FUADSI). A distinguished chartered accountant and seasoned university finance administrator, he brings over 25 years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, and institutional administration.

He holds a Master of Science in Accounting (Ph.D. grade) and a Master of Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Ibadan, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Olabisi Onabanjo University. His professional qualifications are complemented by his fellowship of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), reflecting his commitment to the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and professional excellence.

Before his appointment at FUADSI in June 2025, Mr. Adeagbo served in various leadership capacities at the University of Ibadan, where he rose through the ranks from Accountant to Deputy Bursar. Over the years, he has been responsible for grants administration, final accounts, salaries, treasury management, and faculty finance operations, making significant contributions to institutional accountability and financial innovation. His tenure at UI was marked by key achievements, including the introduction and management of the Treasury Single Account (TSA), the adoption of the Government Integrated Financial Management System (GIFMIS), and strengthened financial reporting for grants and research funding.

An astute administrator and trainer, Mr. Adeagbo has attended and presented papers at numerous national and international workshops, including programmes in Uganda, Ghana, and the United States. He has also contributed to Nigeria’s higher education system through professional mentoring, community service, and thought leadership in financial probity and governance.

He is a receiver of several awards/commendations, among which are the Runner Up (Administrative Category) in the Reward for Excellence Exercise for the staff of University of Ibadan in 2011 and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Grant Award for staff development and support for training in institutions outside Nigeria.

As Bursar of FUADSI, he is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring accountability, and supporting the University’s mission of agricultural innovation, food security, and human development. Mr. Adeagbo remains deeply committed to fostering financial systems that promote transparency, sustainability, and growth, positioning FUADSI as a model of excellence in university financial administration.
