Mr. Afolabi Tunde Muritala is an accomplished administrator and seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in education, administration, and institutional management.
He began his educational journey at C&S Primary School, Ikirun; NUD Primary School, Iragbiji; and IMG Primary School II, Ibadan, before proceeding to the prestigious Ibadan Grammar School, Molete, where he completed his secondary education in 1989.
Mr. Afolabi holds a Diploma in Cooperative Studies from the Federal Cooperative College, Zaria, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, obtained in 1999 and 2003 respectively. He also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the Federal College of Education (now Federal University of Education), Zaria, in 2004.
His professional career commenced in 2001 as a teacher in private secondary schools in Zaria. He later joined a private hospitality firm in Benue State as a Client Services Officer in 2006. In 2009, he transitioned to public service at the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Afaka, Kaduna, where he rose steadily through the ranks to become Deputy Registrar in 2023.
On June 26, 2025, Mr. Afolabi was appointed the pioneer Registrar of the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji, by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
A dedicated professional, Mr. Afolabi is a member of several recognized management bodies and has participated in numerous seminars, workshops, and professional courses in management and administration.
He is happily married and blessed with children.
